Win Two ‘What The Grown-Ups Do’ Books – My Family Ties

Win Two Mairi McLellan Books

A fabulous duo of books, perfect for inquisitive young minds to find out a little more about different jobs they can aspire to in the future.  Fiona The Doctor by Mairi McLellan, is full of great information written in a way that is easy to understand for children as well as being very informative and funny. Answering all the questions you could possibly have about a doctors working day, and even finding out why people get smelly feet!  The Mackenzie children get to look through the equipment in Fiona The Doctor’s bag and learn how to diagnose a patient and which instruments to use. A great book of discovery with plenty of photos and information to keep your children engaged and interested.

The second book in this great giveaway is Richard The Vet by Mairi McLellan, a fascinating insight into a typical day of a vet’s life.  Richard is a large animal vet and for all the horse lovers out there, he specialises in equines (horses) so he spends a lot of time between farms and stables.  Richard The Vet tells you all about how you take out rotten teeth from a horse, without getting kicked!  For a journey into the life of a vet and lots of interesting and fun facts to keep the children hooked, this is an ideal book to learn more about the work of a vet.

Mairi McLellan is  a bronze medal winner 2014 for the Best series of non-fiction at the Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards.  The books are targeted at children aged 5-10 years, and these two books are due to be released on the 28th October 2014, with a whole collection of other professions to learn about in Mairi’s other books.
