I have a tasty competition today to fuel your day in the shape of this great hamper from Clif Bar – America’s favourite energy bar. I took some of these bars with me in my kit bag when I did the Walk The Walk moonwalk earlier this Summer and found them really useful to top up my energy levels during the night. They are really filling and tasty and carbohydrate rich to give you the energy you need.

About Clif Bars

The Clif bars are there to give you a boost during the day whenever you may need it, delivering energy and made with organic rolled oats. The bars are a good source of protein and fibre and also have vitamins B3 and B12 with no artificial sweeteners or high fructose corn syrup.

    I also buy Cashew nuts from Lidls which are good for you and work out quite reasonably priced, as it is weighed and put into bags by oneself.

    I've been quite the fan of Nakd Bars/Nibbles for snacks as of late – either that – or just a regular piece of fruit does just as well.

    I almost always have some sort of protein bar or shake after exercise – it's SO important to make sure you're getting in the protein after a workout to help with muscle repair.

    I often have humus and crackers for a snack during work time – as I am diabetic I try to avoid eating biscuits and other cereal bars as snacks as they cause me glucose levels to peak and trough quickly which leaves me feeling tired. I do tend to eat a snack of cereal bar after I have finished at the gym or an exercise class along with a banana 🙂
