This Limited Edition retro radio features Emma Bridgewater’s “Black Toast” pattern on the handle and radio paired with a cream fascia and the Black Toast design continues on the stylish tag attached to the handle marking this designer edition. With digital and FM radio, you can choose to use this in the house or take it out with you as it has the versatility of being portable as it can be battery powered as well.

Emma Bridgewater’s “Black Toast” pattern is one of the most iconic designs and has been exclusively adapted for this retro radio, using the words “life & soul & radio” the design is stylishly displayed with the recognisable Emma Bridgewater style, on the radio’s high quality leatherette exterior.  The vintage style and superior sound quality make this radio a perfect addition to your home, and an ideal Valentine gift.

The Black toast radio has the ultimate retro vintage appeal as well as many great features, as well as the DAB and DAB+ ensuring you can listen to UK and European radio, it also features an FM mode if you are out of digital coverage area. If you would rather listen to your own catalogue then you can easily use the Lightening dock to link up your iPhone or iPod and if that is still sufficient, then you can connect via the aux input to any other audio device you have. The versatility of this radio is a big plus and I liked the fact you can access your own music library via iPhone, and also very handy to have the dual action of the Lightening dock as it will charge your iPhone or iPod as well.

The battery life of the radio will give you about 15 hours of run time and the sound quality is excellent thanks to two 10-watt speakers.

  • Black Toast leather surround and handle
  • Charge and play iPhone and iPod with Lightening dock
  • DAB/DAB+ and FM radio tuner
  • 10 Digital and 10 FM presets
  • Battery power option with up to 15 hours battery life
  • 3.5mm AUX-IN for other audio devices

Love the look of this radio as I'm a big Emma Bridgewater fan, though I think it's ruined by the boring and in-your-face Emma Bridgewater label. I realise she wants her name on it but she doesn't do this with mugs and crockery etc so why does she do it here? It would be much better for the overall design if her name was on the back I think. It looks like a school name tag!
