The Magic Door Store Review – My Family Ties

I Believe In Fairies!

The most beautiful miniature doors have been created by The Magic Door Store here in the UK as a special portal for the fairies and elves to come and go when they need to. So when we had the opportunity to welcome some fairies into our home with a Magic Fairy Door we were delighted!

Nothing can be truer as fairy wisdom. It is as true as sunbeams.

Lara chose a pretty yellow door from the variety of colours available and a little white stepladder for the fairies to use with some magic fairy dust too. Once the parcel arrived we were so excited to get the little door installed and ready to welcome the fairies in, and found the perfect spot in Lara’s bedroom, she was very careful to choose the right place for the little door, so the fairies would have plenty of room to make themselves comfortable.
It was simple to attach the door to the skirting board once we had found the right position to place it, as there is putty provided in the box to adhere it with. We placed the Little Magic Stepladder next to the Magic Door with the Magic Fairy Dust and it made Lara smile with delight when she saw the final effect! We debated not only where the door should be best placed but if it should go onto or on top of the skirting board, and Lara felt it would be more comfortable for when the fairies were feeling tired if they had some soft carpet to walk on, I loved the logic in her deliberation and the beautiful imagination that this lovely idea had sparked.

We are all very mindful that when we enter Lara’s room we are careful to give the fairy door plenty of room and respect, and always to remember not to close her own door too quickly as she worries that this may be too windy for the little fairies!
Each of the Fairy and Elf Doors are £20.00, the Magic Stepladder £6.00 and the Magic Dust £1.50, all handmade in the UK and every detail has been very carefully crafted to ensure the magic of the Fairies and Elves is kept alive. It’s such a lovely concept and it has been heartwarming to watch Lara enthuse over every little thing to ensure the fairies are ok and happy with their new portal. A perfect way to stimulate your child’s imagination and keep their childhood magical, Lara is 9 and we still check the bottom of the garden for fairies, notice when a new freckle appears on her face (fairy kisses!) and brush out the tangles in her hair every morning where fairies have been playing hopscotch in her hair.

My little one has one of these. She absolutely loves it. We leave her tooth outside the door and the fairy replaces it with a coin 😉 I didn't realise you could buy little accessories… I'll most certainly be doing that!

Oh that's so sweet, what a lovely time in their lives to treasure! There are so many sweet fairy things you can get for the kids, and the little accessories that they have are just darling 🙂
