I had the pleasure of trying my first product from Suti Skincare when I was introduced to the brand as a reviewer for the Beauty Bible for their latest book. What I liked right away about the brand was it’s natural approach to targeting your skin concerns, as I have realised over the years that it is essential to turn toward a brands who offer natural ingredients if you want to protect, heal and nourish your skin most effectively. Both the Cleanse Facial Balm and the Honour Coconut & Roses Face Cream have exceeded my expectations as they have naturally soothed, hydrated and healed while the fragrances only enhance the products and smell fresh and clean.
Suti is a British organic skincare brand who believe that healthy, glowing skin starts with you choosing the right active, organic products which work with your skin to enhance and heal. Developed by Suzanne Jenkins and Tina Steadman, Suti was a creative journey and development for the two women who wanted to share their knowledge of healing with a collection of soothing and nourishing products.
Suzanne had 15 years of experience in complementary medicine (reiki, homeopathy, flower essences, aromatherapy, crystal healing, and reflexology) and to complement her clients treatments she would develop topical balms and oils to help nourish and heal, this promoted her to see a gap in the market for natural, healing products.
Tina had a design background after studying Design Communication and went on to study reiki and crystal healing and in 2010 Suti was born, a collaboration of the two women’s concept to bring energy skincare and beauty healing to the market.
Suti Cleanse Facial Cleansing Balm 50ml – £33.00
The first product I reviewed from the Suti range was the Suti Cleanse Balm, a deeply nourishing cleansing balm with avocado, sunflower, olive oil and apricot kernel oil to make cleansing your face and neck a truly pleasurable experience. Housed in a glass container with pretty modern botanical designs that are instantly identifiable as Suti, the cleansing balm has been carefully created not only to cope with removing all your makeup and cleansing your skin, but to nourish, heal and have an intoxicating scent.
The cleansing balm comes with a small spatula to hygienically remove enough balm to use on your face and a muslin cloth, which is unbleached to thoroughly remove all trace of your daily makeup and the balm. The balm itself is a thick consistency with a grainy feel, but not rough at all, the grains melt into your skin and feel very silky. The grains are from the unrefined shea butter which upon application dissolves into the skin and feels like an oil.
The fist time I used the balm I was unsure if I would like the texture as it looks so thick initially, but once I applied the balm and massaged it into my skin the combination of the zesty fresh scent and the silky, easy to glide balm made it one of the most pleasurable cleansers I have used. It is easy to remove all trace of the day with this balm and glides over the skin and eyes with no tightness, stinging or dragging and I found that I am more inclined to give my face and neck more of a massage each time I cleanse which has improved the texture and look of my skin. Think of the balm as a thick nourishing balm that once applied to the skin is heated (naturally by your skin) and transformed into a facial oil, so is easy to spread over the face and neck to cleanse all your makeup, pollution and grime giving you clean, fresh skin.
Once you have given your face the attention it needs using the balm, the next step is to soak the muslin cloth with warm to hot water. You need to make sure the water is hot enough as you won’t be able to remove the balm with cold or tepid water. Just sweep the muslin cloth over your skin to remove the balm, and the texture of the cloth will not only take off all the product along with your makeup but will gently exfoliate your skin to give a smooth clean finish. It’s surprising that such a simple ritual can give you such smooth glowing skin, the combination of the balm, feeding and nourishing your skin and the muslin cloth which takes off any dead skin cells really does leave your skin feeling and looking it’s best.
Another way you can use the cleansing balm is to apply a layer over the face and neck as you would a face mask, great to do while you are in the bath as the heat and steam from the bath will help the active ingredients to open the pores and give an intensive deep cleanse. Your skin feels so silky soft afterward so I would highly recommend you give this a try if you buy this balm.
The jar will last a long time as you only need a little each application, with this warmer weather the balm does soften and become less viscous, but is just as easy to apply. With it’s natural ingredients and nourishing properties I would recommend this balm as it feeds your skin naturally and gives great results, a real treat for the skin. Also it is suitable for all skin types, even my sensitive skin. This has been a real treat for my skin and I would certainly use again for it’s uplifting, exfoliating and nourishing properties, I look forward to treating my skin to other products from Suti.

Honour Coconut & Roses Face Cream 50ml – £58.00
Once you have used the Suti balm to cleanse your face and neck the next step is to moisturise deeply. Using Suti’s Honour Coconut & Roses Face Cream, which is suitable for all skin types will help to give you instant moisture, help with your skins elasticity and to help heal and regenerate your skin. As with all the Suti products a lot of research and thought has gone into selecting the perfect ingredients to give your skin maximum benefit, but also the aromatherapy properties have been carefully thought out. When you first use the face cream the beautiful delicate scent of the Rose Otto coupled with the coconut leaves the skin lightly fragranced and feeling intensely moisturised.
The glass bottle has a pump dispenser which is handy and hygienic and allows you to get just the right amount each time, it also has a plastic lid to go over the pump dispenser to protect it. The same modern botanical design of Suti is on the bottle and it is a tall, slim container which fits very well in your hand when using.
The Honour face cream has been developed to heal and rejuvenate the skin targeting fine lines and wrinkles while deeply hydrating. I have been using the cream over the last few weeks and the 50ml size is ideal as you only need to use a pump or two each time for your whole face and neck. Once applied the white medium thick cream needs only a minute or so for you to massage into the skin before being absorbed.
The one tip I would give if you are applying makeup afterward is to give your skin 10 minutes to let the cream fully absorb and then when you are ready, just blot your skin gently with a tissue to remove any residue. I have found that this works well with my skin as it tends to be a little oily around the t-zone and this trick really helps with the finish of my foundation and powder.
Having used the cream I have noticed a huge improvement with the hydration of my skin as I tend to have dryer areas around my cheeks while my t-zone is a little oily, the cream has helped to balance while giving a deep hydration leaving my skin very soft. With the intense hydration my fine lines now look less prominent with the active ingredients helping to improve elasticity and the effects of ageing.
It’s an indulgent, luxurious, nourishing treat for the skin that will help to improve, heal and hydrate when used regularly, with it’s natural nurturing ingredients working in synergy together. I have found my skin has responded so well to the cream and once applied it feels hydrated without feeling heavy or greasy, and has a subtle fragrance predominantly of Rose Otto with a hint of Coconut in the background.
I really value the fact it is suitable for all skin types and my sensitive skin has had no adverse effects to the cream at all, a very simple to use everyday face cream that delivers on all claims and will last and last as you only need a little each time, a great find that I will be stocking up on to to help heal my skin.
