My Weekend – My Family Ties

Point & Shoot and Living Arrows

This weekend has been a mixture of travelling on the bus with my girls to Lara’s gymnastics practice (most of Saturday!) and getting out in the fresh air for a walk on Sunday.  I am linking up with the #PointShoot blog link-up again this week, and also #LivingArrows for the first time, what a great way to document your weekend through photo’s which I have loved putting together.

“Sisters are different flowers from the same garden”

Even though it has been very cold and windy, this Sunday saw a little respite from the icy wind so we took the opportunity to venture out for a walk, and I’m so thankful we did as we had such a lovely time. I am rarely without my camera when we go out, and I’m so glad that I went armed with it on our walk, as I captured some precious moments that I must take the time to get developed and put on the wall. It’s one of those things that I keep meaning to do, but never quite get around to, but having the actual photo’s in your hands (and on the wall!) is a lovely thing instead of just looking at them on the computer.

Point Shoot for the week 20/01/2015

We have started the new year off with a new approach to our weekly shop and have gone sugar free during the week,  just leaving Sunday for any sugary treats. It was hard for the girls (and us!) to adapt to at first, as it is so surprising just how much sugar we consume without thinking about it. But three weeks in we have started to find our feet, and swapping fruit, juicing and smoothies for the usual sugary snacks has been a huge success and given us all a lot more energy.  The photo below was this Sunday so treats were ok (in moderation!) and bubble gum was top of Lara’s list, thank goodness none of it went into her hair!
