Point & Shoot 13/1 – My Family Ties

This weekend my OH bought home these beautiful roses, he knows how much I love fresh flowers and also that it wouldn’t take me long to get my camera out and take some photo’s.  I have had the awful winter flu that is going around and these pretty blooms really cheered me up, I have been trying out different backgrounds and different light sources too, it is amazing how it can totally change the look of the flowers.

Linking up with photography blogs and link-up’s is something I love to do, and it is one of my New Year’s resolutions to take more photo’s, link with more blogs and connect with other photographer’s, so here is this week’s offering, some dark and moody roses.

I haven’t used as many dark backgrounds as I have light ones so it was really refreshing to try it out with these roses, I just need to practice a little more to perfect the dark and moody look.  All I needed was some natural daylight (I managed to get a little even though it was a very dull weekend!) and some black card.

I am linking this post up with Aby from You Baby Me Mummy and Em from Snowing Indoors and #PointShoot if you haven’t heard of it before why not click on the link take a look at the amazing photo’s that have been linked up.
