Planning For Overnight Guests Over Christmas

It’s almost time for Christmas Day and it’s the perfect time to get together with family and it’s so nice to have family staying with you over the festive period. With that in mind I have a few lovely suggestions for getting the spare room ready for overnight guests this Christmas, as I think it’s a lovely idea to make the room extra special for any adults or children who are staying overnight. Making the home special and inviting, especially the spare room can make your guests feel very welcome and make their stay so memorable at such a magical time of year.

Planning For Overnight Guests Over Christmas

1. This Works Candles

In a choice of four amazing fragrances, what better way to create a relaxing and tranquil haven for your guests than with the perfect This Works candles. Take your pick from Black Spice & Cedar Candle, Deep Sleep Heavenly Candle, Neroli & Sweet Orange Candle and Petitgrain & Jasmine Candle each candle is £25.00 and the natural wax and essential oils give a beautiful pure scent to fragrance the room and make your guests feel welcome, and add a touch of luxury to the home.

2. Room To Grow Bedding

I find it really useful to have some fresh clean bedding ready for any overnight guests and the range from Room To Grow are perfect for young guests as they are bright and colourful with fun designs to choose from.  I really like the Ballet Class design which is available from the Room To Grow website at £24.99 which is perfect for little girls visiting, there are plenty of other designs for boys and girls on the website to choose from.

At this time of year when you have friends and family staying overnight I think it’s important to make them feel at home and to treat them a little, little touches such as new bedding suited to them is a lovely idea and can make their stay seem that extra bit special. Having some other accessories to add to the room can make it look finished and festive and it needn’t’ be expensive as you can be selective and add fun pieces that complement the decor.

3. Cozy Time Cozy Warmers

I think these gorgeous Cozy Warmers from Cozy Time are a brilliant gift idea and also a lovely item to accessorise your spare room with. These best selling Cozy Warmers come in a variety of designs , the most popular at this time of year I’m sure are the hedgehogs and penguins! They are designed to keep little and large hands warm and cosy and have a clever double sided pocket feature to keep hands warm, or to hide away toys or chocolates from siblings!

This year I am making Christmas Eve boxes for my girls and these cute and snuggly Cozy Warmers are the perfect addition, I am even going to hide away their chocolate oranges in the pockets for them to find! At £9.99 each they are brilliant value and are not just for the kids as adults love them too, a very warm way to keep hands snug over the chilly Winter nights.

4. Room To Grow Snuggle Sac

These innovative bedding solutions available from Room To Grow are perfect to have on hand for any guests you may have staying over the festive break, you can get the child’s Snuggle Sac version or there is now an adults version too. They come very well presented as they are packaged within a handy zipped bag to make it easy to stow away when not needed. They retail from £35.00 to £45.00 and are available online from Room To Grow.

They come in a variety of designs and for the Harry Potter fans you can even get a fabulous Hogwarts design which kids will love. The Snuggle Sac’s are super soft and make from fleece material with a sleeping bag style zipped side and feature a large pocket at the top where you can slip in a pillow before they go to sleep. The beauty of this feature is that they can sleep on the soft fleece material and when you pack it all away you simply remove the pillow and roll the whole Snuggle Sac up. Ready to add to the storage bag to zip up, put away and have handy for the next sleepover guests!

Whatever you are doing over the Christmas holiday I hope you have a wonderful time, a very Merry Christmas from My Family Ties to you all!
