Parragon Book Buddies Metal Puzzles Review

We were sent a brilliant item last month to review from Parragon Books and so ideal for my girls as they love to solve puzzles. The Metal Puzzles from Professor Murphy’s Emporium Of Entertainment are presented in a sturdy cardboard box and come with a very informative book to help you solve the puzzles and also within the book you can find plenty of brain teasers to stretch the mind too.

Once you have opened the box you will find 6 tricky metal puzzles to figure out – the Big Bank, the Sun & Moon, the Double 8, the Helix, the Trigon and the Looper. As soon as I had opened up the box my nine year old was drawn to it, and she wanted to solve the puzzles right away! This is a gift that doesn’t take five minutes to solve and get pushed to the side, my daughter was playing with it all afternoon the first day we were reviewing it and I am happy to say both my girls have had hours of fun with this fun little kit.

I remember as a child that these type of metal puzzles would appear every Christmas day in the festive crackers, and they were always popular with us kids as you had to figure out how to unravel them and also how to put them back together too! What a brilliant gift this would be for Christmas if you have children to buy for, and the beauty of this fun puzzle set from Parragon Books is that it is only £6.99 so very affordable.

They look so simple to solve but the metal puzzles are actually quite tricky and this is the appeal I think as if they were too simple kids would find them boring. In an age of technology led gifts this has been a real find as although both my daughters are very different ages (9 and 16) they both enjoyed playing with the puzzles and brain teaser book and if they had found this under the tree at Christmas I know they would have been very happy to receive such a fun gift and at under £7.00 I think it’s great value. Thank you to Parragon Books for another great product.
