Organic Skincare From Inlight

Over the cold Winter months my skin has really suffered with dryness and sensitivity and even though Spring is here it still feels like it needs extra attention to bring it back to it’s hydrated self. When this beautiful package arrived from Inlight I was delighted to try the 100% organic products out in a bid to improve my skin. Inlight have the most amazing range of organic skincare with a skincare regime or product for every skin concern and I have been really enjoying trying out two of their most popular products, the Organic Super-Food Face Mask and the Organic Floral Face Tonic. Can I just take a minute to say just how beautifully presented the products arrive! Just look at the pretty little box below, it was a delight to unwrap this on a rainy morning!

Anyone who knows me accepts I love face masks! It’s a combination of an indulgent beauty treat for the skin and a chance to spend 10 minutes or so completely relaxing – usually with a good book. In fact I use them several times a week to keep my skin looking the best it can be and I do treat my teenage daughter to a weekly facial as well as my OH when he let’s me!

Over the years I have noticed the benefits of a regular skincare routine and part of that ritual for me is to take the time to have a facial, even if it is only once a week and this can make such a difference to the condition and look of your complexion. I tend to incorporate a gentle exfoliant beforehand and massage serum and moisturiser in post mask, what a difference it makes to the skin and if you can add in a little massage (before moisturising) the benefits are tremendous.

Both the products from Inlight can be used together beginning with the 100% organic super food face mask which is packed full of phytonutrients to balance, detox and hydrate the skin. Applying the mask was easy and the little spatula included in the box made light work of removing it from the glass jar. I applied the mask with a beauty brush (force of habit being a beauty therapist!) as I find this is the best way to apply and I tend to use less of the product each time, plus I find this the most hygienic way to apply.

The mask was instantly cool and refreshing on the skin and I left it on for the advised 10 minutes before removing. Inlight advises to use this mask once a week and it has multiple benefits, the detoxifying spirulina, repairing rose oil and soothing barley leaf all work together giving great results even with just one use. The potent blend within the mask help to stimulate cell renewal and encourage collagen production, giving the skin a more youthful ‘glowing’ complexion, and with continued use I can see that adding this mask in even once a week would make a marked improvement to the skin.

I noticed that the mask worked particularly well on my sensitive reddened skin (it is suitable for all skin types though) as although it is packed full of bio-active nutrients to target skin concerns it’s also gentle enough for sensitive or sensitised skin. The mask also works as a mild exfoliant and the blend of homeopathic elements leave the skin feeling soft, hydrated and beautifully clean. The packaging and look of the mask is also perfect as I love products which are unisex, and I feel that this mask really fit’s that bill. In fact I tried this out on my OH as well and it made such a difference to the condition of his skin, giving it a brighter, more hydrated look to it. For him to notice an improvement on his skin, all I can say is this is big. Now I’m not disparaging his skincare ritual, he is the type of guy who shaves and uses an aftershave lotion – and that’s it. So when a product comes along which he is happy to say ‘yes this made a difference’ I applaud it.

Removing the mask with the floral face tonic was a delight as apart from the 100% natural and organic ingredients, the fragrance is just lovely and it leaves the skin feeling clean and refreshed. The tonic is alcohol free so not drying to the skin at all and the blend of rose, Roman chamomile, lavender and cornflower help to cool, balance, refresh and calm the skin when you need to. I used the tonic to remove the super food mask and as I have quite sensitive skin I used very slightly dampened large cotton pads, added the floral tonic, split them into two and removed the mask in sections until it was all gone. Once I had a clean face I swept over the skin with another tonic soaked cotton pad to finish before applying a serum and moisturiser.

I do tend to stay away from toners/tonics as they so often contain alcohol which can be so drying, I love the Liz Earle toner as it is also organic and gentle and this tonic from Inlight is fast becoming my new favourite as my skin feels really refreshed after using it with no reactions at all afterwards. I found when my skin is feeling particularly reddened and sensitive that if I store the tonic in the fridge it gives that extra oomph to cool and soothe the skin, also a great tip for in the hot weather. I would love to try the tonic with the dispenser (atomiser) as this is the ideal product to keep in your handbag to refresh throughout the day.

Both products from Inlight and in fact all their products are not tested on animals, homeopathic, vegan and 100% organic. Such a treat for the skin and such a lot of research and development has gone into sourcing each component to work together producing products which really deliver.  These really are luxury organic products which work with your skin and I can see why they have such a huge following of happy customers, as both products I tried did exactly what they stated – and at the end of the day that’s what I’m looking for in a product – to deliver!

My skin is terribly dry and I'm actually looking for a new toner/tonic that doesn't strip my skin… this sounds lovely!

The reason I like it so much Tracy is that is has been so gentle on my sensitive skin, I would usually get a huge reaction – plus it smells divine too! 🙂

I have got dry skin and this would be great, I think. I have not used a face mask as I'm worried my skin will react but this product looks great.

Would this be good for older skin too?

They sound like great products. I have very dry skin and am always trying to find products that help. I've been making the effort to go organic this year starting with skin care that's absorbed as I think that's most important.
