My Little Provence Box Review – My Family Ties

This month the My Little Box team have created a beautiful new box – My Little Provence Box collaborating with L’Occitane  to give you a very Summery beauty box. From the moment it arrived I knew it was going to be another winner!

I really look forward to the e-mail letting me know that My Little Box is on it’s way and this month I loved the addition of the L’Occitane beauty goodies as the brand have so many lovely products to offer to add to your Summer holiday bag.

The beauty box itself always comes in a strong beautifully designed (By the artist Kanako) cardboard box, and I have found them very useful for storing things away in, even my daughter’s have taken a few to use in their rooms!

The Provence theme this month is so appropriate as we are all looking forward to holidays and with the warmer weather here in the UK perhaps a few Stay-cations too. I love the diverse items in this box as there is a real mix of products, and I also look forward to the magazine in each box too brimming with interviews, beauty and lifestyle articles just perfect for reading with a cuppa.

My Little Provence Box Review

I have said it before, but this beauty box is really one of my favourites and the one that wow’s me each month, for it’s diverse additions and carefully chosen high quality beauty products, it has a fun, fresh feel to the box as well as holding onto that iconic French style.

Each month you get the My Little Box delivered to you for £14.95 (that includes P&P) you can also gift subscriptions in 3, 6 and 12 month gift packages. With 80,000 subscribers in France alone it’s no great surprise that here in the UK their beauty boxes have become very popular, and it’s all done in a very easy, uncomplicated way – once you have subscribed just wait for your monthly e-mail, followed a few days later by the postman delivering your goodies. If it’s not for you you can just go ahead and unsubscribe, I like the fact you are not locked in to any sort of contract, giving you reassurance if you don’t like it.

Mer & Mistral L’Occitane Shower Gel 50ml

“Summer Holiday In A Bottle”

It really is a beautiful Summer scent, and has a fresh fragrance of the sea, it looks really sea like as well as the transparent travel sized bottle shows off the light turquoise shower gel and the flip top lid is ideal for getting just the right amount too. This is the perfect size for adding to your holiday bag, so great to have a little luxury while on holiday too.

It’s a great way to try out a luxury shower gel to see if it’s for you, that’s what I value about beauty boxes, it gives the opportunity to try out different products, and quite often it will prompt me to buy the full sized product if I really love it.  This is one of those times as I really like the fresh scent of this shower gel, it leaves the skin feeling soft and the scent lasted longer than my usual shower gel, a real treat for the skin.

Verbena Body Lotion 30ml L’Occitane

This is one of my favourite L’Occitane collection scents it is so uplifting and highly moisturising and once you apply the cream it absorbs really quickly leaving no tacky feel, just moisturised skin. It reminds me of Summer as it’s clean, pure, zesty lemon fragrance is so very fresh and lasting. I have used this body lotion before and love to return to use it (especially in the Summer) as it makes my skin so soft and beautifully scented.

Verbena Leaf Soap 25g

Another offering from L’Occitane is the travel sized Verbena Leaf Soap to leave your skin soft and smooth scented with this gorgeous lemon scent. It has a dual use though as at first it is very creamy, but it also has exfoliating qualities (crushed verbena leaf) to keep your skin cleaned and smooth.

Roses Et Reines Hand And Nail Cream 10 ml

The last item to come from L’Occitane is the lovely Rose hand and nail cream in a 10ml travel size perfect for adding to your handbag or travel-bag. There is so much to love about this hand cream, from the delicate pink colour of the thick cream to the subtle fresh rose scent, needless to say L’Occitane have done it again with a hugely hydrating hand cream with Shea butter that lasts and lasts. If you do go on to buy the full sized product it will last really well as the tube is huge, I love to have a L’Occitane hand cream in my handbag as my hands get so dry and the Shea butter in their hand creams nourish so well, and smell amazing.

The Amazing Eyeshadow Crayon Crayon Épatant – My Little Beauty  Full Sized £9.00

From the My Little Beauty house comes The Amazing Pencil (Crayon Épantant) a metallic brown eye pencil to use as an eyeliner or eyeshadow. It’s a lovely shade and very easy to use and to blend, it also benefits from a twistable end to release the colour as you use it. I always add an eyeshadow primer to stop creasing and help the eyeshadow to last and I have used this eye pencil on top of the primer with great results. I did think being so creamy it would slide off  as little, especially in the hotter weather, but I was really happy to see that it stayed put even though I was using it as an eyeshadow rather than an eye liner. Love the colour too, it’s a perfect shade for Summer.

My Little Box Cotton Bag

Every month I find a use for these handy little cotton bags, I now have one in my swimming bag, one in my handbag and one in my gym bag! I think I shall use this one in my make-up case for my lipsticks, these bags are so useful and they are all washable as well a real bonus item in each month’s box.

Magnetic Provence – My Little Doll Magnets £6.00

In every month there is a quirky addition to the beauty box and this month there are the My Little Provence Doll Magnets – they are such a cute and playful addition that you can customise to your taste and add to your fridge!

Embroidery Cuff £15.00

Lastly and by no means least is the very pretty, perfect for the Summer gold customisable cuff, beautifully presented as all their special gifts are, in a pretty box with ‘Sunny things Inside” on the outside – I couldn’t wait to see what was inside! The gold cuff looks really striking by itself and even more pretty when you decorate it with the cotton provided in the kit, don’t worry if you are worried about how to get creative and do the design as there are plenty of ideas and tips included in the box,  and even some tutorials online.
