By Terry Khol Pencil – Terrybly – £23.00
When I saw there was a eye pencil from By Terry I thought the box was worth it just for that! I really like this brand and the waterproof khol pencil is so easy to apply and is a gorgeous dark colour with a bronze sparkle. Ideal for this time of year when the cold weather can make your eyes water as it is waterproof and it really does last all day. The fact it is a high end brand like By Terry and a full sized product too is really fantastic, as this product alone is more than the cost of the whole box.
L’Oreal Brow Artist Shaper £5.49
Groom your brows to perfection with this nifty double ended pencil, not only does it have a coloured pencil (which comes in three shades) on one end, but on the other end is a clear finishing wax pencil to keep the brows in place. I liked the concept of this pencil, but the shade was a little dark for me, I do dye my brows as they are so light so I think a shade lighter would have been better.
DHC Blotting Paper £4.00 For 100 Sheets
“Horses Sweat, men perspire and women glow – right?”
This made me laugh as I remember hearing this when I was younger and thinking is that really true! Well I know that as the day rolls on my make-up goes from staying put with no ‘glowing’ to getting shiny on the T-zone and needing a product just like this. Even the box is pretty that the blotting paper’s come in, there are 100 papers which will last well and they are 100% natural hemp to absorb any excess shine though the day. I’ve become a little addicted to them I think and they are a brilliant addition to my handbag, if you have a bit too much shine during the day then this is the product for you.
Complexion Enhancer – Glowing Skin – Teint De Peche £9.50
Not only does this nourish your skin with Apricot Oil and boost it with antioxidant rich edelweiss flower, it gives your skin a beautiful and very subtle peachy tint. It smells very fresh and is easy to apply and the lightweight lotion gives a pretty delicate tint that is suitable for any skin tone. I usually don’t like to use any sort of tint on my face as I have really pale skin but as this was so subtle and light it was perfect. This is from My Little Beauty’s own in-house beauty range and each month you get a different product customised to the theme of the box.
My Little Box Fabric Make-Up Bag
The make-up was already in the fabric My Little Box drawstring bag when I opened up the box, is ideal as a make-up bag. I have been using it to take to the gym and swimming pool as it is perfect for putting my make-up essentials in and as it is fabric it is easy to wash too.
My Little World Magazine
Also in each month’s My Little Box is a glossy My Little World magazine, and this month as the theme was French chic it was full of French beauty, style culture. I loved the fact that this is included in the box as it is full of interesting and inspiring articles.
Smartphone Case in PU & Canvas £16.00
Ines de La Fressange
Ines de La Fressange is a French icon, a strong independent woman who exudes elegance. Her classic fashion is found in the most stylish of Parisian women’s wardrobes and in My Little Box this month we had the opportunity to sample her Parisian chic with the mini pouch to keep your phone in and also enough room to put your bank cards or tickets in the pocket in the front, or your headphones. Even the box is beautiful, and the case itself is of excellent quality and style as you would imagine, and the perfect size for your phone.
Pot of Messages £6.50
Les Petits Mots D’Ines
This was so unexpected and different and I just loved the inspiration of these lovely little daily messages. A pot of 28 messages to inspire and brighten your day and generally make your day better with a little punchy quote. Each little message is carefully wrapped up and fastened with a little gold hoop, and the colours of France give this gorgeous pot of messages a touch of sophistication as well as the inspiring quotes to uplift you. Below are just a few of the daily messages I have opened, the pot has pride of place by my workstation now and I look forward to opening my next one every morning, what will I do when the month is up?!
The subscription for My Little Box is priced at £11.00 per month plus £3.99 for postage and packing, and judging from this months box which would be £64.49 if you bought each of the items individually I think it offers excellent value for money. If is different and I like the carefully chosen products and little touches, the ribbon, the magazine, the artwork as well as the products themselves, and of course the amazing value of the box makes this a great choice of the huge variety of beauty boxes out there. If this is indicative of what’s to come I am well and truly hooked on My Little Box!
