Look Fantastic March Beauty Box Review – My Family Ties

I have been really loving the last few Look Fantastic beauty boxes and I’m excited to share the March beauty box with you as it’s full of great products to discover. This month brings a good mix of face, body and hair products and as I found from the February box a lot of care and attention has been put into the selection of the products to ensure they are very usable and always great value too.

You can either opt to subscribe to the beauty box and get the box delvered monthly or you can opt to buy them as one off boxes as and when you choose.  The box is £15.00 and the 6 products inside are worth more than £60.00 so this month again offers really great value and I feel that the Look Fantastic box does stand out for it’s quality and addition of top useable brands each month.

Bliss FatGirlSlim £10.40

When I saw there was a Bliss product in the box I knew it would be a great box! I just love the brand and have tried so many beauty products from Bliss and never been disappointed. The FatGirlSlim cream has the texture of a fluid gel-cream and the method to use to get the best effect is to massage it into any of your ‘problem’ areas for about 30 seconds twice a day. It sinks in well after rubbing it in and what I do really like is that is has no sticky feel afterward so you can dress right away if using after a shower with no waiting around for the cream to ‘set’. A word of warning though the texture of the cream is very runny so be careful when opening it.

Using twice a day this cream will last you 1-2 weeks depending on where you use it the most etc and it’s great value to try such a high end product that claims such great results, although I do feel you would need to use it for a longer period to really see the full benefit of it’s use.

Expect to feel a firming on the skin and an improvement in the texture of your skin after using for just a few days. The addition of caffeine in the FatGirlSlim cream helps to stimulate and tone the skin and the guidance on the packaging does stress that it is not a weight loss product.

Nudestix Magnetic Colour Eye Pencil  – Gilt  £24.00

A new product to me, brand new to look fantastic and just the right colour for me too, in a pretty metallic light copper this eye pencil once on won’t budge until you take it off with remover.  If you like metallic colours on your eyes and want an eye pencil that is soft and won’t drag, then the Nudestix is the one.  It’s smudge-proof, waterproof, blend-able, can be used to prime, highlight and line your eyes and gives an intense metallic colour that lasts really well.

You can even wear over the whole lid and blend out for a more dramatic look, and the fact that it is super long wearing is a huge plus point for me. Great value as you are getting a full sized eye pencil worth a huge £24.00 and the perfect introduction to a brand.

Cowshed Lippy Cow £5.00 (for full size)

This natural lip balm from Cowshed ‘Lippy cow’ is a moisturising and nourishing balm to keep your lips smooth and protected from the elements. I do like the Cowshed products and always an intriguied to see what inventive names they come up with for their products. Also that they use natural botanicals in all their products and are all free from parabens, sulphates, animal ingredients, colours and are not tested on animals.

Containing rose geranium, ylang ylang, and linden blossom to protect, rejuvenate and stimulate the Lippy cow is easy to apply and lightly scented in a pretty botanical monochrome designed tube. Always a pleasure to use and very useful this Spring to have in your handbag the Lippy Cow is my new favourite lip balm that lasts really well and has improved my dry lips over the last week of using.

Lord & Berry Ey Pencil – £10.00 (for full size)

An eye pencil in black kohl to define and line your eyes is an essential bit of kit to have in your make-up bag, and this #221 Travel Black from Lord & Berry is the perfect size to pack to keep your eyes looking finished to perfection.

Smudge-proof, creamy and perfect for eye definition this eye pencil from Lord & Berry is easy to apply and can be worn on the upper and lower lash line as well as the water line.  The black is an intense bold colour that you can easily smudge to get the effect you want and the soft creamy texture of the eye pencil ensures you don’t drag the delicate eye area at all.

Lord & Berry have long been lorded by make-up artists around the world ever since they began bringing style and taste from their fashionable Italian roots. With their chic design and quality products speaking for themselves it’s no surprise that this product in the Look Fantastic box gives a fantastic finish and as well as being easy to apply lasts well throughout the day as well.

Wet Brush £7.50

Small enough to be able to take with you on the go in your handbag the Wet Brush helps to detangle your hair wet or dry. It has a rubber coated handle to ensure a firm hold when getting to grips with your tangled locks and has adaptable flexible (IntelliFlex) bristles which make it easier to brush through your tangles without tugging or pulling.

I liked the feel of the brush and the fact that it’s a mini brush was great as it went straight into my handbag! My hair is fine and get’s tangled really easily and I found this brush did help to make it smooth and rid the tangles easily without any real force and I loved the colour I received in the box too (although you can get many other colours)

It’s designed of course for wet hair and I used it on not only my hair but both my daughter’s hair as well, on both wet and dry hair. My youngest daughter liked the fact it is a diminutive size and fitted perfectly in her hands so it is perfect for kids too.

Nuxe Nuxellence Detox – Detoxifying and Youth Revealing Anti-aging Care £47.00 (for full size)  15ml & worth £11-£12.00

The first thing you will notice when you use the Nuxe cream is that is smells amazing, with it’s all natural fragrances of passion flower and poppy it’s a joy to use. Of all the Nuxe products I have tried, the dominant emphasis is on the beautiful natural scents and ingredients and the powerful benefits of these natural ingredients.

Nuxe detox night cream once applied sinks in very well with no sticky residue and is a very beneficial night cream targeting healthy skin renewal for glowing skin.  It works on detoxifying the skin as well as renewing the skin and so far having used it for a week I have noticed my skin is very soft and smooth in the morning, and the sample size in the Look Fantastic box gives you enough for about 7-10 days use which is a good length of time to make your mind up if you like it enough to buy the full sized product.

That’s another great month from Look Fantastic that I would recommend as all the products have had plenty of use from me and I am really looking forward to seeing what next month brings.
