LIB/BBB Dream Box III Review – My Family Ties

I was so thrilled to see this on the Latest In Beauty website! A beauty box full of beauty products selected carefully on a wonderful collaboration between the British Beauty Blogger (Jane Cunningham) and the Latest In Beauty brand.

Get excited because when you open your BBB/LIB box there are 16 fabulous beauty products inside! The total value of the products in the box is a whopping £115.00 and priced at £21.95 ( and free postage) this makes it a very cost effective beauty box and with such a great variety of products on offer.

There are a mix of old and new products in the box and it’s great to see some top products with both higher and lower end prices, they have all been carefully selected for their excellent performance. If you are looking for a fantastic value for money beauty box to try out some top quality face, hair and body products, this is the box to try out.

Benefit They’re Real Remover – 7.5ml

Benefit can’t seem to put a foot wrong on performance for me, and I love to see their new products. The make up remover is a thick creamy gel that is great for getting even the most stubborn mascara off, and the beauty of it is that it is formulated for sensitive skin like mine and even for contact lens wearers.

Eye Of Horus Pencil – 1 full sized

In a gorgeous teal colour this waterproof, blend-able, smudge-proof eye pencil to enhance and give a real pop to your eyes. The pencil is double ended with a soft tipped blender on one end and the pencil on the other. It is so soft and easy to apply, and stays put really well even on the waterline.

Essence Nail Polish – 2 X Full Sized – The Pastels & The Nudes

Two great everyday nail polishes that although in the budget end (£1.60 each – don’t let the lower price put you off!) are both a great shade that stay true to their colour and last well without chipping. Both are really easy to apply and go on very smoothly for a great finish and I particularly love the nude colour, it dries really quickly and two coats are all you need for a perfect finish.

Dr Organic Lip Balm – Organic Moroccan Argan oil – 5.7ml

There are three different lip balms that you could get in your box, Cherry, Mint and the Argan Oil lip balm that I got in my box.  Infused with avocado and almond this nourishing and hydrating lip balm is perfect to keep your lips smooth and soft and with an SPF of 15 it will protect from UVA and UVB rays as well. I really like creamy and hydrating feeling of this lip balm, a brilliant addition to get ready for the sunnier weather.

The Scottish Fine Soaps Company Luxury soap  – Au Lait 100g

Encased in a pretty Scottish designed tin, this luxury soap smells divine and has the benefit of being portable thanks to the clever design of the tin. It is a generous 100g size and is perfect for softening and cleansing the skin. Great for travelling and taking with you on your holidays this summer, or for adding to your bathroom and with 40 years of experience this family run brand have honed their recipes to get it just right.

Deciem Hand Chemistry – 30ml

I love to try new hand creams and have read about this great hand cream from Hand Chemistry but never tried it, so I was keen to try it out and put it to the 11 day test.  Jane Cunningham is a devoted fan and added this hand cream as her favourite ever hand cream and I can see why. Moisturising and nourishing with active ingredients to transform your hands to smooth supply and with a visible difference in as little as 11 days.  It really made a difference to the texture and look of my hands and I will be putting an order in for some more, and the handy thing is Hand Chemistry offer a 20% discount code in the LIB/BBB box so you can do just that.

Orelia Gold Tattoos 1 Sheet With 4 Tattoos

Temporary tattoos are brilliant for the summer, for parties or just for fun, and these pretty tattoos from Orelia are just lovely. The designs are perfect to use around the wrist or arm or even on your back and the bold gold and silver designs really stand out.

Vita Liberata Luxury Tan – 20ml

Much needed in this gloomy Spring weather a bit of colour courtesy of Vita Liberata and this luxury fake tan. Combine the tan lotion with the mini-mitt included for a streak free natural looking golden tan, just use 2-3 times a week. I liked this fake tan as it is really easy to apply with the mini-mitt and that for my pale skin it gives a really natural tan.

Roger & Gallet Fleur De Figuier Eau De Parfum 1.5ml

This Eau De parfum from Roger & Gallet is fruity and lasting with a beautiful scent. The top notes are mandarin orange, grapefruit and cumin, the middle notes are fig leaf and fig and the base notes are fig nectar, fig, musk and cedar. You can really smell the fig and the musky base notes and it is the perfect scent for summer as it is so fruity.

Crabtree & Evelyn Pear & Magnolia Body Lotion – 50ml

Crabtree & Evelyn are known for their great scent combinations and this body lotion with pear and magnolia is just lovely. The strong scent of the pear comes through really well with the magnolia delicately in background. As with the other products in the range expect a little luxury as this is so moisturising and leaves a lovely scent through the day, and the petite sized body lotion is ideal if you are off on holiday over the half term.

Salon Science Reglosse Smoothing Serum – 50ml

The Smoothing Serum from Salon Science nourishes and repairs split ends, restores the health of your hair and smells fresh and fruity. Great to see a hair care product in this LIB/BBB box and I liked the results that this serum gave, smoothing down the frizz and giving a lovely shine to the hair. I have quite fine hair and it was great that this serum didn’t weight the hair down or make it look oily at all.  This full sized product retails at £18.00 ! So just this product alone is almost the cost of the entire box giving outstanding value.

Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Melting Cleanser – 15ml

Having used Ole Henriksen products before I know their potency and results,  and although this is a sample size of the melting cleanser but it will last you longer than you think as you don’t need to use much each time.  The silky soft texture of the cleanser is a gel/balm and a 3 in 1 cleanser and feels amazing on the skin, getting rid of every last scrap of make-up so gently and leaving your skin so smooth and soft afterward. Be prepared to want to buy more of this treasure!

MakeUp Revolution – The One – Fluid Blusher – Desire 14.4g

Don’t be fooled by thinking the shade of this MakeUp Revolution Fluid Blusher is going to be too dark and this sheer, light, fluid blusher goes on like a dream and gives a subtle blush that looks very natural.  I don’t often use a blusher but liked the feeling of the lotion and the fact it is so easy to blend with a brush to give a delicate rosy look. I also tried it out on my teenage daughter and it looked so lovely on her pale skin, just two drops is really all you need although you can intensify the colour by adding more.

Nuxe Créme Fraîche De Beauté Mask  – 50ml

Nuxe the luxury French brand that is coveted by many, and I can see why with this soothing and hydrating mask. Worth £18.50 the addition of the Nuxe mask is a little slice of luxury you can test for yourself, and I love the fact that it is gentle enough to use on the delicate eye area as well as on the face and neck too.  It left my skin feeling really soft and supple after using and I would most definitely add this to my holiday bag this summer as it is so hydrating.

Bourjois Rouge Velvet – Don’t Pink Of It  – 7ml

A velvety smooth lip colour that glides on like a dream and lasts really well through the day, I loved the shade of ‘Don’t Pink Of It’ and the strong matt colour gives the feel of vintage style glamour that looks timeless.  Having used this lip colour I would buy another as I like the look, the feel and also the performance as I am always on the search for a lip colour that lasts, and this stays put for hours.

So there you have it a brilliant line up of top performing beauty, body and hair products, amazing value at only £21.95 and plenty of opportunity to try out old and new brands that were chosen for their excellence. Needless to say after the last three collaborations of LIB/BBB when the next box comes around I will be snapping it up as I have loved the products in each of the previous boxes too.
