What a great range of children’s clothes they have at House Of Fraser, I really was spoiled for choice when I had the opportunity to review a selection of clothes for Lara, and as she loves to shop (in store or online!) she was more than happy to help choose a cute outfit.
With Summer on our doorstep (come on sun!) Lara wanted to select an outfit that she could wear now that would take her into the sunnier weather, and she just loves cats so the lightweight hooded top with the cat motif on was just perfect for her paired with some denim shorts – a Summer essential for my two girls!
Uttam Girls Cat Applique Hooded Top £16.00 – House OF Fraser
The Uttam Girls Cat Applique Hooded Top was great value at £16.00 and right away caught Lara’s eye, the attention to detail on the top and the pretty turquoise colour makes it an eye catching and versatile top for Summer, she just loves it! I was surprised actually that she didn’t choose the pink top (which looks just as cute) as she would normally, but I’m glad she didn’t as she really suits the muted pastel turquoise colour.
The top itself is lightweight, really soft with long sleeves, gathered shoulder detail and a hood with cat ears on! The design on the front is a cat with a camera and has a pretty applique motif with small beads all over the design, the beauty of this top is that it is easy to wash and wear and needs just a quick iron to restore to looking new, and so far it hasn’t faded at all after washing.
Mango Girls Denim Shorts £12.99
Shorts are essential in the warmer months and top of the list for Summer wear, so when I spotted these Blue Denim Mango Shorts at £12.99 I thought they would be perfect for Lara to wear with the Uttam Cat Applique Hooded Cat Top. The shorts were a great price (as always with Mango clothes) and they come in three colours blue, light blue and navy, they are very comfortable as well as having a zip and button fastening they also have a hidden adjustable waistband, which is so useful as I do struggle to find clothes to fit perfectly on Lara for her size as the waist is usually far too big on her, so having this adjustable waistband was great as they sit perfectly and are not too loose.
The shorts have five pockets and a pretty fringed/frayed look to the bottom of the legs which Lara just loved! They are versatile for Summer as Lara has been wearing them this week with leggings (as it’s been so chilly!) but when we had the warmer weather the week before she wore them with her favourite t-shirt. What they have been most useful for though is slipping on over her leotard before gymnastics as she has three training sessions a week (10 hours) and it’s always a bit of a rush to get ready, so these Mango shorts have been great for her to slip on over her leotard and look really great too.
