The Hero Project #BeautyOnAMission

In a quest to find the real Hero beauty products, the team from The Hero Project have begun a new concept to hone in on what we all really want to have in our beauty stash, products that actually work and that live up to their taglines. It’s so frustrating when you end up with five products to do the one skincare specific job and I feel that is where The Hero Project Concept is coming from, targeting real customers skin concerns and creating products that will address these concerns. Step in their exclusive Hero products Hyasoft and Glowdrops both developed, tried and tested to work wonders on all skin types to renew the skin to glowing hydrated skin. What makes The Hero Project a unique concept is that customers can get involved and rate the products online, they are also all ears to any product suggestions too as they are looking for honest real opinions to formulate products that work.

On to the two products and if your skin is feeling dry and in need of some moisture these are the products for you. Firstly the Hyasoft Instant Moisture Boost £19.00 for 30ml is quite different to the usual hyaluronic acid products I have used before. A great price for a product which specifically targets dry skin needing a moisture boost in the most effective way. The Instant Moisture Boost does just that and is a non-greasy gel which once applied just melts into the skin leaving absolutely no trace or stickiness.

What makes this different and more powerful at attacking dry, dull skin is the multi-molecular hyaluronic acid, which penetrates further into the dermis as well as targeting different sized molecules (to hydrate) to give a more visible result. My dry skin just drinks this up and what I love about it (other than the positive results) is that you can easily incorporate it into your daily routine, either under your usual moisturiser or if you feel it is enough (as in your skin doesn’t need any additional moisture) just use on it’s own before primer. So great to find a product which delivers and I value the fact that the non-filmy texture post application means I can apply makeup directly afterward too.

The second product from The Hero Project is Glow Drops Dry Touch Facial Oil & Vitamin C £21.00 for 30ml a facial oil to fall in love with and don’t be fooled into thinking it will leave your skin feeling really oily as leaves it feeling so silky instead. Suitable for all skin types (even oily skin) the oil has ten natural essential oils with lipid vitamin c and has been developed for skin that needs some tlc specifically for fine lines and wrinkles (reducing their appearance) and also really ideal for sensitised skin. You can use the facial oil in place of your regular serum or even by adding in a couple of drops into your moisturiser and apply to the face, neck and décolletage – I have been adding just a couple of drops to the backs of my hands too.

The result of using the facial oil is a smooth, hydrating glow to the skin as well as a beautiful fresh scent which is really subtle. As you only need a few drops each application this will last and last and the clever design of the dropper/pipet ensures you won’t spill any oil when you take it out of the bottle. Everything about the design is slick and well thought out with ease of use in mind and the simple yet eye catching design really lets the product shine. A product which will give you such longevity and offers excellent value for money (it will last you months!) and another skincare gem which gives visible results. This is possibly the lightest oil I have tested and again like the Hyasoft gel it melts into the skin leaving it feeling really silky rather than oily or filmy, quite unlike a traditional facial oil which I have only used as part of a night time skin treat and I love the fact you can add it into any daily skincare routine.

The packaging and design of both products from The Hero Project are bright colourful and eye catching without detracting from the products themselves with plenty of product information and ingredients on the boxes as well. If you are looking for products to hydrate, plump and smooth dry, dull skin this duo are perfect as they deliver and you can really notice visible results from the targeted ingredients. Really looking forward to see what products follow from The Hero Project and it’s great to see a brand that value customers feedback as well as their actual skincare needs and wants.
