Gordon Castle Salt Scrub Review – My Family Ties

Herb Garden Salt Scrub 250ml £25.00

Your skin will thank you after using this natural exfoliator, packed with essential oils to stimulate and cleanse the skin, grainy with the natural seeds and sea salt but not abrasive in any way leaving your skin smooth and soft and ready for body lotion.

Gordon Castle Salt Scrub

Gordon Castle launched a range of luxurious beauty products with the emphasis on natural essential oils and herbs gathered from their walled gardens, it’s such a special product to try out knowing it’s history and the fact it has been carefully and locally sourced by the Gordon Castle beauty team. The simple, clean, modern labelling design is eye catching and the product securely housed in the plastic recyclable jar, it will last you for a long time as a little of the scrub goes a really long way and with a shelf life of 18 months it has plenty of longevity on your bathroom shelf.

If you are wondering about the history of Gordon Castle it is located in Scotland, a family owned castle which has been restored to it’s former glory including a beautiful walled garden where the beauty products are well supplied with the abundance of fresh herbs and fruits. The Castle has been in the family since the 15th Century and the location nestled into the Scottish Highlands has inspired many different avenues and business ideas for the family, from weddings to salmon fishing, teddy bears to gin, and of course their most recent venture their luxurious beauty range, lovingly put together with natural produce from their walled garden.

The Gordon Castle Salt Scrub is easily spread over the skin with a little water to gently slough away any dead skin cells, once you have finished exfoliating and ready to wash away the salt scrub it is really easy to do (which is great as many scrubs take so long to wash off!) leaving the skin soft and lightly moisturised by the natural oils within the scrub. What I like about the scrub is that it is thick enough to stay put in the container, but once emulsified with a little water it is easy to use, and a little of the product goes a long way. The fragrance is very fresh and clean, and if you take a look below at the list of natural ingredients you will see why, it’s full of essential oils to cleanse, soothe and moisturise the skin to give a smooth finish.

Oh this looks amazing. I love a body scrub but I tend to find many of them are too harsh on my sensitive skin. I really like the sound of this one!

This sounds really nice, love the natural feel of this scrub – have been looking for more natural scrubs since finding out that many products have plastics in them

My best friend uses this and loves it. It smells great, but I've not tried it – worried I might love it too, but not be able to afford it! 🙂 Jodie Cook
