Giveaway To Win a Y-cam Home Monitor Camera Worth £125.00

If home security is something you are keen to get on top of this year then I have the perfect easy-to-use system which you can win on my great giveaway with Y-cam. For the security conscious individuals such as myself this is a great way to monitor your home whenever you are away, and is the only cloud based security camera system which has no monthly or annual fee attached. Given the honour of winning the Best Buy by the Sunday Times recently the Y-cam Home Monitor is a smart choice to keep your home monitored while you are away, and give you the peace of mind of a secure home.

About The Y-cam Home Monitor Camera

Unlike many home security devices the Y-cam will work straight of the box, you don’t need an additional recording device you just need to plug in in, set up a simple online account and you are good to go. Everything you need to get set-up and start using your Y-cam are in the box – which is great as you needn’t worry about any cables or additional technical equipment you may have needed to get set-up.

You can set the system up to be altered wherever you are when you are away from your home, to ensure maximum home security. The motion detectors on the Y-cam which you can program to monitor high alert areas such as doors and windows, can be pre-programmed by you to send an alert on your smartphone as soon as motion is detected. There is no need to be continually watching your monitor ‘just-in-case’ as the clever Y-cam system has the built in motion sensor alerts which will contact you only when action is required.

A feature which is really beneficial on the Y-cam is, once you have set-up your online account via the cloud system, it will store clips of all movement within the last seven days to view should you need to, with no additional cost to you. You can then pick and choose if you want to keep a specific recording for safety or security and download directly to your PC when and if you need to. If the worst were to happen and you had a home invasion all the data would be recoded on the Y-cam and saved on the cloud system. Should this happen and the perpetrator were to try to damage or steal the Y-cam – all the video data which has been captured will be safely stored for you to view and download on the cloud system.

After you download the app you can view your Y-cam whenever you like from this app and once you arrive back at your home the Y-cam detects your smartphone’s location and switches the motion detectors off, only to be resumed when you leave again.  You don’t just have to enable the live stream on your phone either – you can view on your tablet or laptop giving you extra flexibility. Even at night the Y-cam will be working efficiently to monitor your home with it’s powerful infrared LED’s giving clear video footage wherever you have placed it. You can even pan across the room using your smartphone, tablet or laptop when you are away from your home to give added security and a better view.

So if you are looking for a comprehensive home security camera that is easy to use, simple to set-up and that has enhanced features of on demand recording and location recording to give you the security you need to keep your home safe. In the event you do have a home invasion you are able to retrieve essential video data from the cloud system which you can download to your pc and use as evidence.

What You Will Win

If you are lucky enough to win the giveaway you will be the proud owner of the Y-cam HomeMonitor indoor HD Wi-Fi Video camera which comes with free cloud recording and alters. Giving you all the features you need to keep your home safe, these include:

  • Simple to use and to set-up
  • Works straight out of the box.
  • Off-site secure online recording of the last seven days – free.
  • High quality video and audio with a high resolution camera including clear night vision.
  • No additional cables or equipment required to install.

I haven't tried one before but after a recent bout of break in in my village I am defiantly interested in looking into them more.

  80. April 8, 2016 / 9:54 am

I've researched these but this is the first one I've seen that makes sense. It looks really good and a fab price too. I'm very security conscious and always keep my doors and windows locked, and if away (which we are often) we have lamps that go on and off. I think it's important to try and make your house look as if there's someone in when there isn't.

  81. April 9, 2016 / 8:29 pm

I've not had security of this type before but this would bring such peace of mind when the house is empty.

  94. Teresa Lee
    April 18, 2016 / 11:36 pm

No, we've never tried a home security system before

  95. April 19, 2016 / 9:05 am

I think nowadays when people are out of the house a lot more either working or at school or college, a home security system is becoming more appealing to give you that extra peace of mind.

  96. April 19, 2016 / 7:36 pm

I set the alarm when I leave the house.

  97. April 19, 2016 / 8:46 pm

  98. April 20, 2016 / 7:53 am

We do have a security light.
    My tips would be…
make sure house is locked up when you go out and at night
don't leave boxes showing a new product you have bought so they are easily seen
If you go away, put lights on a timer
keep a very close eye on pets and children when playing in the garden

I leave my hallway lights on even when I'm out to detract thieves

  106. April 22, 2016 / 7:30 am

Get to know your neighbours so you can help each other out with keeping a watchful eye.

  107. April 22, 2016 / 4:43 pm

But would the police catch an intruder even with a photo?

  108. April 22, 2016 / 5:25 pm

I have a very loud dog lol however hes smaller than the cats so probably not the best deterrent

  109. April 22, 2016 / 5:33 pm

I've never tried a security device before but I've been looking into them recently after having an intruder on our property.

  110. April 22, 2016 / 5:56 pm

I've not tried any devices before so would love to try it

  119. April 23, 2016 / 7:54 am

Doors are often targeted by burglars so it is important they are well constructed with good locking hardware.

  120. Angela weir
    April 23, 2016 / 8:22 am

Would really like a home security to keep an eye on the pets whilst I'm at work

  121. April 23, 2016 / 8:45 am

We've adopted a lot of the measures posted here but I'm still feeling a little uneasy – the neighbourhood is changing so much!

  122. Philip Underwood
    April 23, 2016 / 9:01 am

I've never had one, but this sounds brilliant. I love the idea of being able to check for peace of mind.
