Can you believe it is already June?! Time is ticking to get the perfect gifts and cards ready for Father’s Day and I have been looking high and low to find some unique and useful ideas for 2016. I have already written about some of my finds HERE and HERE and this weekend the girls and I have been busy at work crafting a homemade card for their dad. I’ve been so impressed with our girls at how much effort and love they have been putting into creating a gift box with lots of fun things in for their dad, the gifts are of course lovely but the pictures and cards make it really special and I can’t wait for him to see it all, including the colourful hand made wrapping they made together. Take a look below at some ideas we have loved testing out and ones we feel would make really great unique gifts for any dad on Father’s Day.
1. Superman Logo Light £23.00
Find Me A Gift What a lovely way to tell dad that you think he is your superhero! With this bright iconic logo light it will add a splash of colour to any desk or home office and would be just perfect for any Marvel fan, you could even pair it with some of your dads favourite Marvel comics or prints. A unique way to make a really personal space for dad and to signify that space is his! I think it would also look really effective mounted on a feature wall as the subtle lighting looks so effective at night.
2. Telephone Box Bird Feeder £29.99
Find Me A Gift This gift idea is so unusual and eye catching and would look good in any garden no matter how large or small and would make a great gift idea for any dad who has a love of gardening. With it’s striking red colour and iconic pillar box design all that’s needed is some bird seed and a place to hang the bird feeder. I like the design feature that allows you to fill the box with nuts or seeds letting them flow out as the birds eat through them, and the transparent panelling gives you a good view of how much bird feed there is left until the next refill.
3. Personalised Hammer £16.99
Find Me A Gift Does your dad love to spend time on DIY around the home? If so this could be the ideal gift as you can personalise the hammer so each time he uses it he will remember it’s from you! I really love the end result (see the photo below of our daughter holding our personalised hammer) and it is one of the favourite gifts my daughters have wrapped up to give their dad this year. I think the finish is just gorgeous and at under £20 it offers really good value too, a treasured and very useful gift idea to add to dad’s DIY box this Father’s Day.
4. Luxury Leather Traditional Bi-Fold Wallet £45.00
Man Gun Bear A quality gift idea from Man Gun Bear and one that is so distinctive with a vintage feel and another gift idea that you can personalise for an additional £3.00 The wallet is 100% cowhide leather which is so soft and inside is lined with a racing green fabric with plenty of room to house cards and money alike. The Man Gun Bear
logo is displayed on the back and you can have the initials added in the inside if you want to personalise it. This piece is such a luxury gift idea and comes boxed ready to present to dad, the detail and design on the wallet has been carefully crafted making it a piece that will become one of his favourites as well as being incredibly practical.
5. Standezy Father’s Day Stand £3.99
Standezy For a practical solution for dad to house his smartphone or tablet and the beauty of it is it is credit card sized so easily stored away in any wallet. It’s such a simple yet effective solution and at under £5.00 it’s a great buy that dad can use to watch his favourite programme, watch YouTube, follow a recipe, use facetime the limits are endless. A great little phone accessory which will be a real favourite for it’s useful nature and the Father’s Day designs will remind dad who bought it for him!
I hope this has given a little inspiration for what to buy dad this Father’s Day, whatever you do have a great day!
