Degustabox Subscription Box
When you go to the Degustabox website it is easy to navigate through the site and set up your own account really quickly and easily. Any questions you have about your order, the customer service team are more than happy to answer. In fact I had a query when my box arrived as one of the packets of crisps had burst. A member of the team responded quickly to my e-mail and was happy to replace the damaged item right away or include it in my next box, it was a fast and painless process and the team are more than happy to resolve any issues with your order.
Having the box delivered, I’m not going to lie, it was like getting a Christmas present in the mail! It was exciting to receive and discover what goodies were included inside. It is a surprise every month what you will be getting and I think that is half the appeal with this monthly box, if the subsequent months are anything like this months Degustabox then I won’t be disappointed.
Having 9-12 newly released products delivered every month, is a great way to try out new to the market products,so you can make up your mind if you want to buy more at the supermarket the next time you visit.
Before delivery a handy text was sent to my phone to alert me when the subscription box would be expected, such a brilliant touch as it is so annoying when things get delivered when I am out, it usually coincides with the school run times!
So what was in my first Degustabox?
Two bottles of Little Miracles Organic Tea, one flavour was Green Tea & Pomegranate and the other was Lemongrass and Ginseng – both I found really refreshing, low in calories and natural sugars (agave) and it was good to try out drinks that are new to me, a great substitute to grabbing a coffee for an uplifting natural boost.
Chocolate is always a welcome addition to a food package and in this months Degustabox it was Elizabeth Shaw, with a scrumptious dark chocolate and mint, you won’t want to share these! Just perfect partners with a cup of coffee, not too minty either. These would be the ideal Christmas gift, I already have several family members in mind who love minty great quality chocolates like these.
I love to pair my toast in the mornings with some marmalade jam, and I’m always looking for a good quality jam. I have to say I think the La Vieja Fabrica marmalade made with Seville oranges, packs a fruity and tasty punch, the whole family enjoyed this jam and that is no mean feat!
Having never tried Crabbies’s Fruits I was dubious if I would like it, but the raspberry with rhubarb drink was really good, and this is something I would never normally try so it was a surprise to enjoy it so much.
The easy to recognise Carnation milk was the next to come out of the Degustabox, two cartons of it, this time in a recyclable carton and with half the fat of single cream. An easy pour carton that is great for adding to sweet or savoury dishes, I have already tried this out on my girls with a pasta dish that they gave the thumbs up to. A very versatile product and I do think that the carton with an easy pour spout is much more user friendly and the shape is also easy to store in the fridge.
I don’t usually buy granola so when Jordan’s Simply Granola (with a hint of honey) was the next to come out of the Degustabox I wasn’t sure it would be to my taste. I was wrong on this though as it is lovely with yogurt and fruit for breakfast, and it was a huge hit with my girls and we have since bought some more at the supermarket.
Bahlsen’s Pick-ups are something I buy for the girls for lunchboxes so I knew they would want to try the new flavour Black ‘N’ White. Of course they loved them, and they are just perfect for putting in your handbag to take out for a snack.
It is always great to find alternative replacements for usual packets of crisps and the Burt’s Lentil Waves are an ideal replacement. In three flavours, Thai Sweet Chilli, Lightly Salted and Sour Cream and Chive these crisps are lower in fat and gluten free, a perfect snack to have on hand for peckish children.
All in all a really good selection of products that I may not usually select in a supermarket, but have enjoyed trying at a really great price as £12.99 a month for so much is very good value, when the total cost of all the items in the box comes to over £23.
