Kiwi Long Sleeved Checked Shirt
It’s that time of the year again when I am starting to look for Winter warmer’s for the family, and as the cold and rainy weather has started already I found some solutions on the Craghoppers website.
My OH is very outdoorsy and is always looking for outdoor clothes and shoes that are practical, warm and good quality, I think he has found a great addition to his outdoor kit with this Kiwi Craghoppers shirt with the added bonus that it looks great too.
I have to say my OH is very picky about his clothing and is not driven to purchase by market or high street trends. He tends to go for function and quality, and I think he has found it in this shirt, while it is both of these things it is also very stylish and wears really well, and he has found while wearing this out it is perfect layered under a jacket for warmth.
If you have a look on the Craghoppers website they have a great offer at the moment on the Kiwi long sleeved shirt instead of £35 each they are £17.50, I know I will be buying a few more for my OH to put under the Christmas tree at such a good price.
Compresslite Pink Girls Jacket
Finding a warm yet portable jacket for my youngest daughter Lara was a priority as she has grown so much since I stocked up last year on Autumn/Winter warm clothing. We walk to school so keeping out the cold and rain and having a decent hood to protect her face was really important to me, she wears glasses so in the rain it’s a nuisance it the hood doesn’t cover her glasses properly.
The Craghoppers Compresslite girls jacket ticked all the boxes with the added bonus it was in pink and bright blue which she loved. This lightweight jacket keeps out the cold with it’s insulation comparable to natural down and comes with it’s own sack to pack it all away in which is handy when you are out walking to stash away. The jacket has two zipped pockets at the front and elasticated cuffs and hems to keep the cold out, it also benefits from an elasticated hood to protect the head from the elements. You can zip up the jacket fully for warmth and has an inner zip guard as well.
This jacket is incredibly light, it is hard to believe that a jacket weighing only 295 g can keep you snug and warm in the cold weather! Lara liked the fact it wasn’t bulky or tricky to do up and take off, and also liked the little touches such as the elasticated cuffs and hood. She wore it on a long walk we had outdoors and found it really warm and windproof. When we arrived at the end of the walk and she wanted to take it off, it was great to be able to pack it away in it’s own stow sack and put it into her bag without being really bulky and cumbersome.
Of course she liked the colour of the jacket it’s pink with a bright blue inside, and the quality and function of this jacket is very superior to others that we have tried for Lara. The fact that it is so portable and light is such a bonus and makes it great for travel and days outdoor’s, we are definitely going to get one for our oldest daughter too as it has been such a success for Lara.
At £40 it’s a good investment to keep the kids nice and warm in the elements, but if you visit the Craghoopers website now they have a great offer on the Compresslite girls jacket and they are down to £25 each.
