I have written about some of my favourite beauty boxes and the Cohorted beauty box is certainly one of my favorites every month. This month sees the last of the £19.99 beauty box as the team at Cohorted have revised their beauty boxes so you can subscribe ensuring you don’t miss a box.
I think this seems to have been a real problem with some Cohorted fans as the boxes sold out so fast each month and many people were left disappointed if there weren’t enough in stock. With the new subscription Black Boxes they prices are going up to £35.00 which is a bit of a jump but the reason for this is so that they can provide pull sized high end products in each monthly box.
I have to say since I have tried out some of the Bare Minerals products out from the Cohorted beauty boxes I’m a bit of a convert. Just last week I bought the mineral powder to try and loved it so I was really looking forward to trying out some of their skincare range courtesy of this Cohorted box.
The Purifying Cleanser is a clear gel that lathers up to a creamy consistency and can remove all your make-up leaving the face feeling really clean. Because of it’s gentle formula you can use it around the eye area to remove all traces of make-up and this for me is a real benefit as it’s one less thing to think about when going through your beauty routine. A great dual use product that leaves the skin clean without feeling tight of ‘squeaky’.
A thick hydrating cream to help with improving the look and structure of the skin, specifically working on the skin’s elasticity and firmness. Great to try out one of the Bare Minerals moisturisers and I have to say my skin really benefited from it’s nourishing formula, this time of year is always the same my skin really suffers from the cold wind and the central heating, and I always switch to a more hydrating moisturiser. This cream has really helped particularly with the stubborn dry patches I tend to get this time of year, really glad to have found another skin saviour for Autumn/Winter.
In my opinion you can never have too many mascara’s in your make up kit! Largely because It’s a product I wear every day without fail so I get through quite a bit in a year. This mascara from Peter Thomas Roth Lashes is formulated in a way that the wand itself is more of a comb rather than a brush for the lashes.
This gives a really good distribution of the mascara itself, and I found it gave a good even look without clumping (a real pet hate of mine!) The mascara claims to lengthen and add volume and I found with two coats it made my short lashes look full and very dark which I was really impressed with for a £15.00 mascara.
What a beautiful colour for this (or any!) time of year the Serendipity nail polish is from Ciate. Totally reminiscent of Dorothy’s shoes and once you have applied two to three coats the polish really finishes your look for any occasion. Great for a Halloween party and what I loved about this polish is that each coat dries really fast, so if you are impatient like me it’s a perfect polish.
The final product and another offering from Bare Minerals of this gorgeous lipgloss ‘Hypnotist’ a holographic formula to give ultimate shine. It’s such a different product to use on the lips and once applied it shines from peach, violet, purple to gold and it stays on really well in-between applying too. A new favourite product of mine for it’s versatility as you can wear it alone during the day or over your favourite lipstick in the evening.
