If you are super organised then you will already have your Christmas gift buying in the bag! But for unorganised mum’s like me who have only managed to buy just a few gifts for the big day I have put together some ideas for inspiration. The last few months have just flown by and with Christmas day almost upon us and most Christmas trees already up it’s time to get wrapping those gifts and sending off Christmas cards so all that’s needed to concentrate on is the big day itself. If you are looking for a sweet recipe to nibble on while you shop online or wrap your gifts my Festive Vanilla Marshmallows are very Christmassy, tasty and ideal to make for friends and family.
1. Tiger Stores
I am a huge fan of Tiger stores and if you have been into one of their many shops you will know that there is no such thing as ‘popping in’ for a quick look! Once you go for a browse you find yourself spending ages looking at all the useful nik-naks and usually leave with bags full! There are so many ideal gift ideas in Tiger stores and if you are on the look-out for colourful and traditional Christmas decorations then look no further as they have some lovely ideas which look so festive and are very affordable. With a distinctive Scandinavian look there is literally something for everyone and you will find it very difficult not to treat yourself too with so many home ideas.
Just a few weeks ago I shared my new discovery of the beautiful L’Occitane Arlésienne Eau De Toilette 75ml £45.00 from the new Arlésienne collection from the iconic and much coveted French brand L’Occitane. Launched in November the new collection is a musky yet floral scent with Rose, Violet and Saffron at the heart of the fragrance. It’s such a special collection which already has a growing following and I can see why as the scent is feminine, sensual and surprisingly modern and anyone gifting from this collection can be sure it will be received well.
3. Spearmark Lights
I find with my own two daughters they love getting new lights to add to their bedroom decor and even more so when they are battery operated and can be placed anywhere – especially for secret night time reading! What’s great about the range of night-lights from Spearmark is they all take batteries and in fact have the option to use the mains adaptor in place of batteries depending on where you want to place them. There are so many different varieties such as the Heel Light £12.99, the Boot Light £12.99, the Storm Trooper light £6.99 as well as Shopkins lights from £7.99 and Emoji lights from £7.99. The prices are really great value and some are the perfect size for stocking fillers and the beauty is that they can use them (if you put batteries in first) to take a good look at their bounty from Santa!
This time of year it’s always good to have some warm versatile clothing that can withstand the changeable weather and EDZ have some ideal gift ideas to keep you warm and toasty. The EDZ Yeti Jacket £59.99 comes in denim blue, port, black and red and is surprisingly not as bulky as some fleece jackets can be and has handy thumb slits and inner pockets too. It is incredibly warm compared to some I have tried and I love the fact it comes with the thumb slits as well as having inner pockets to house keys and money. If you head over to the EDZ website here you will see they have a brilliant sale on at the moment (December 2016) with some really great savings on both mens and womens clothing. Some thoughtful gift ideas that will be really useful in chilly January and February.
5. JoJo Maman Bébé
If you take a look on the JoJo Maman Bébé website there are so many beautiful gift ideas and it’s well worth signing up to get their newsletter to keep up to date with any new offers and discounts. Not only do they have some really cute looking stockings for the kids this year but also over 70 colourful fun, useful gifts for boys and girls under £15.00, I have already spotted some ideal stocking fillers! I first discovered JoJo Maman Bébé when my now teenage daughter was a toddler and both my girls have had many an outfit which they have worn and loved from the quality store. In fact the tights in particular my girls practically lived in when they were under five as they are such good quality, so soft and comfortable and if you are a parent of girls you will know how hard it is to find tights that stand the test of young girls!
With so many great ideas from JoJo Maman Bébé a lovely idea for Christmas would of course be a gift card so a child (or parent!) can choose something special for themselves. But how about some soft toys which are always so popular with both boys and girls, I particularly love the Freddy Fox Teddy £16.00 and Gracie Giraffe soft toy £12.00 as both I feel are unisex as well as being super soft and suitable from birth. If you have girls as I do the Village Musical Jewellery Box £16.00 is so pretty, suitable from 3 years and as well as having a spacious velvety top compartment it also has two useful drawers at the front. It’s always an enchanting gift for any child to have something precious that plays a piece of beautiful music, especially one that you can wind up yourself, this jewellery box plays ‘Waltz Of The Flowers’ from the Nutcracker and of course has the pretty ballerina inside the lid which pops up upon opening
There are so many colourful and useful home ideas from Brabantia and one of my favourite gift ideas from their seasonal range is the bright daisy yellow pedal bin, which although a bit of an odd gift idea it’s one that will be received so very well as it looks amazing as well as so very useful too. They also have a moss green and clay pink shade if you prefer and you will be tempted to buy one for yourself as well as gift one as they are so very pretty! They come in sizes 3-30 litres and prices range from £19.95-£60.00 and there is a solution for every room in the house. With so many ideas from Brabantia you are spoiled for choice and I love their innovative storage solutions that really brighten up any home.
