Chocolate Coffee Pots With Pistachio – My Family Ties

Coffee plays quite a part in our daily life and just recently I have been making a few more coffee based recipes for us to enjoy, and with the help of our Bella espresso maker it has made it so much easier to make up a batch of fresh espresso to come up with a tasty recipe.

Coffee is a little bit of luxury in our house and having the Bella espresso maker has made it quick and easy to brew the perfect cup of coffee.  I have been tasting different types of coffee to get the perfect blend for my recipes and we have both really been loving the Alma De Cuba, a medium high roast of artisan coffee just ideal for my favourite cappuccino.

We have been also trying out a decaffeinated variety of ground coffee from The Decadent Decaf Coffee Co   the Costa Rican decaf with chocolatey notes.  A lovely coffee that doesn’t loose any of it’s flavour being decaffeinated, we have tried the Chocolate Coffee Pots recipe with all three coffee flavours and each one has it’s unique flavour, all very tasty.

A darker and richer blend with hints of chocolate, plums and allspice an exotic taste that would be perfect for Christmas time is that of The Coffee Circle Mystere Et Prestige delicious served at a festive party.  I really liked this blend in the recipe below with a little brandy, a real treat as an end to a special meal.

One thing I am not so keen on when I use my coffee machine is cleaning it! The Durgol decalcifier is ideal for my Bella espresso maker as well as all other brands too.  It’s quick and easy to use and get’s rid of any limescale build up and gives your machine longevity.

I love the simplicity of this recipe as it is so very easy to put together and yet it tastes really good, you can use a chocolate spread with nuts or without, and even add some brandy to give it a kick.

Simply mix the chocolate spread, Greek yogurt and espresso (a little at a time until you get the right consistency) and add to your little containers. Decorate with pistachios and chill for at least two hours.
