When Chemist Direct approached me to test out their service I jumped at the chance to try out their online chemist, and replenish some skincare essentials, I was in dire need of some moisturiser as my skin is so dry.
The first thing I noticed about the site is that it is really easy to navigate around, something that is important to me, as it’s an instant put off when you do want to buy something but the website is so difficult to navigate around that you end up leaving to find another.
From make-up to prescription services, pet health to sexual health (they even sell sex toys!) there is something for everyone at Chemist Direct.
I find it much easier and quicker to shop online and the benefit of shopping at Chemist Direct is that the delivery is so fast, no waiting around for days to get your goodies once you have ordered.
Also if you spend over £40.00 you qualify for free delivery, oh and did I mention there are so many offers on the site? Lots of discounts on all the categories and some are 70% off, brilliant for a spot of bargain hunting, and if you sign up for their newsletter you will get all their latest offers in your inbox as soon as they are on the website.
After having a good look at what to select, I chose the Weleda Wild Rose Smoothing Day Cream (£12.99 for 30ml) The Vichy Liftactiv Nuit (£17.48 for 50ml) and the Estee Lauder Hydrationist (£32.99 for 50ml) moisturiser. Chemist Direct kindly supplied me with the vouchers to buy the items, and it did take a while to choose as there is so much to offer on their website.
I have been suffering from extremely dry skin from the cold weather, coupled with the drying effect of the central heating, so I was looking for moisturisers to combat this, the hardest thing was deciding on which to choose.
Estee Lauder Hydrationist for dry skin was perfect as my skin just soaked it up being so dry, I made sure I gave my face a really good exfoliation before to feel the benefit of this great moisturiser. I love using this brand as no matter what the item it always lives up to it’s claims, and this pot of moisturiser really helped my dry skin transform and feel so much more hydrated.
Vichy Liftactiv Nuit a rich night cream to moisturise and replenish the skin overnight, and also claims to fight the wrinkles, with that claim alone I was more than happy to test it out! The cream itself smells amazing and fresh, once you have applied it sinks in well and when I woke the next morning my skin felt really soft and smooth.
Weleda Wild Rose Smoothing Day Cream a beautifully scented daily moisturiser that is a complete saviour for dry skin. As with all the Weleda range you can expect a heavenly scent with natural plant extracts, and with this moisturiser being rich in fatty acids it helps to rid your skin of any dryness.
As a bonus when the Chemist Direct parcel arrived I received a generous sample size of the Vichy Aqualia Thermal moisturiser which was a lovely surprise and much needed too.
From ordering to receiving the parcel it was simple and straightforward, the service was fast as I was opening my parcel within three days of placing the order, and I was kept informed by e-mail on the progress of my delivery.
I would use Chemist Direct again for the ease of use and the wide range of products available, but also for the great communication throughout the order and the reassurance that if I am not happy with a product I can contact the customer service department to arrange a return. It gives you piece of mind to know there is someone willing to listen if you do have any complaints or queries on a product.
