Taffy Mail UK Review

Taffy Mail UK Subscription Box

Taffy Mail UK is the UK’s only American sweet subscription box that you can get delivered monthly.  We were thrilled to get our first box through the door, and to see all the candy that we know and love from the US TV and movies but have never actually tried.  Anticipation was high with our girls as they were itching to try everything at once – they were hurrying me up to take the photo’s so they could dive in and try all the candy out.

Having lived in Australia we have tried out different sorts of sweets and I know how fun it is for children to try out the exotic, different tastes of another country – even if if is just sweets!

What to expect? Well when you subscribe you will get a box delivered every month for £14.95, and inside you will get 10 -12 American candy treats to try out.

What was in this months box;

  • Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme bar
  • 3 x  flavours of Laffy Taffy
  • Butterfinger bar
  • A&W Root Beer
  • Pop Rocks
  • Jolly Rancher
  • Nerds
  • Pop Tarts
  • Cow Tales
  • Air Heads
  • 3 x Tootsie Roll’s
  • 2 x Toots lollipops
It was nostalgic to see the iconic American candy up close and something quite special to actually try it out, I have American and Canadian friends here in the UK and they regularly get candy sent to them through the mail from their loved ones back home, as they miss the familiarity of  their country’s products, and receiving the candy from their families is like having a piece of home sent to them. So for my American and Canadian friends in the UK I think this subscription would be perfect for,  and also if you love to try new sweets then ditto.
All the sweets were given the taste of approval from my two girls and thumbs up to everything except the Root Beer.  My youngest Lara didn’t like it at all, while my oldest Siobhan thought it was delicious, which is unusual for her as she doesn’t always like strong flavours. I put the Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme to good use as I made a batch of Chocolate Cupcakes with them.
I think this would be the ideal gift for a sweet toothed friend or an American or Canadian living here in the UK, it’s a lovely gift idea, or for a gift for your own family if you have a bit of a sweet tooth.
