BREAKFAST BAGELS WITH 3 TOPPINGS

Tired of the same toast toppings? Ring the changes with these tasty options. Breakfast can get a little boring eating the same old thing every day, so why not add a little variety with these tasty and easy to make breakfast bagels.

Prep: 5 minutes

Cook: 2-3 minutes

Serves 1

1 plain or wholemeal bagel, halved

Choose from the following options:

Avocado & yeast extract
2 tsp yeast extract (e.g. Marmite)
½ ripe avocado, mashed
2 tsp mixed seeds

Cottage cheese & marmalade
2 tbsp fat free cottage cheese
1 tbsp thick cut marmalade

Peanut butter & banana
1½ tbsp smooth peanut butter
½ ripe banana, sliced
Drizzle clear honey

Toast the bagels on both sides for 2-3 minutes until golden.  Choose one of the toppings above and spread over the bagel halves.

Top tip

For added variety and different flavours, try using cinnamon and raisin bagels instead.

      We love bagels, my favourite topping is marmite, or a fried egg. 🙂 For breakfast today I had bacon, scrambled eggs and grilled tomatoes.

      Yum! I love bagels and would love to try them with peanut butter on. My favourite are the cinnamon and raising ones with butter. I could eat a whole pack of them right now!!

      I love bagels but usually just have butter on them. I've not had one for a while but this has made me crave one, I'm going to make hubbie get me some!!

      Bagel topped with peanut butter and banana is my favourite way to fuel before a long run or gym session, plus they taste AMAZING!!
