Decorating Our Bedroom Space

I have been looking for new bedroom decor and accessories to brighten up our bedroom lately as I always tend to concentrate on both of the girls rooms and forget all about ours! I love to search for inspiration on Pinterest as there is a wealth of information and ideas for every taste possible. Take a look below at my Pinterest board for Ideas For The Home, I have found so many beautiful ideas for every room in the house, I love the bright, airy styles with a splash of colour and I even have my teen sending me pins to add of her favourite ideas for our home now she’s on Pinterest too!

Right now my room is a mix of our things, and also our youngest’s toys as she still likes to climb in for a cuddle in the morning, I’m not complaining though as I love it when she does! The cushion and toy monkey are from Sass & Belle , every time I glance at their website there is something that catches my eye and I particularly love their home decorations for colourful style that adds a little vintage charm to the home. The duvet set is from Next and I really like the aqua and white shades with our black bed-head. It’s a good time to refresh the room and it’s amazing what a few key pieces can do to transform a space so quickly.

When I started my Mood board for the Bedroom I pinned some of my favourite colours and textures I would like to see in my bedroom, and what always happens when I pin I get side-tracked and start pinning not just the bedding and the decor but all the little things that make a room cosy and ‘yours’. For me I like light white bedding with a splash of colour coming from a throw and some cushions, and I love to have scented candles, lamps, and of course plenty of books by the side of the bed!

I have just started the board and so far have selected some lovely bright and cosy items to make the bedroom look perfect for us, some of the items I have already added are:

The White Company Scented White Lavender Candle
Cox & Cox Two Metal Trunks
Cox & Cox Cosy Sheepskin Hot Water Bottle Cover
The White Company Premium Pillows
Yorkshire Linen Warwick Super King Duvet Cover
Yorkshire Linen Warwick White Housewife Pillowcase
Yorkshire Linen Arctic Stripe Grey Bedspread
Olivia Rose Plum Boudoir Cushion
Neom 3 Steps To A Perfect Nights Sleep Tranquillity Candle, Bath Oil & Pillow Mist

I think it’s already looking like a bedroom I could really relax in, I am not one for having a TV in the room but the pretty metal trunks from Cox & Cox would serve as a great vintage style bookshelf instead of watching the TV at night, and the Tranquility range from Neom is so heady with lavender that I think it would cure any insomniac. Perfect for my dream bedroom as not only do I want it to look good but smell amazing too. The White Company have so many ideas for the bedroom and the premium pillows really do make a difference for comfort and if you have tried their scented candles like I have I’m sure you are a convert as they all smell amazing.

The bedding from Yorkshire Linen I really like the look of as it is white and clean looking and the striped throw and plum cushion give it some colour, in fact the greys and purples really remind me of this time of year and the warm sheepskin hot water bottle cover goes perfectly with the bedding. I like to mix textures especially at this time of year when you need a few extra layers to keep cosy and the throw over the duvet combined with a hot water bottle is perfect. All I need to add is a good book and this is my ideal space for a relaxing nights peace.
