August Degustabox Review & £3.00 Discount Code

Last month’s delivery of Degustabox, the food box subscription service was full of 11 new food discoveries and we really enjoyed the varied box of foodie goodies. It’s become a real treat that once a month we have a Degustabox delivery and it really is a lovely surprise to open the box and see what goodies await. As soon as I get the text letting me know what time the box will arrive the next day the kids (and I!) look forward to seeing what’s inside, it’s a really handy service to have a text as well as an email to let you know when the delivery will be on the way, and it also let’s you know which hour they will come.

August Degustabox Review

Inside The August Degustabox

Dr Oetker Mug cakes £2.37 – A very different way to ‘bake’ a cake, just pop in the microwave with milk and 1 minute later you have a cake in a mug. My teen’s new favourite as it is so very quick and they taste really (and surprisingly) good too.

Bahlsen Pick Up! Dark Chocolate £1.39  – A new flavour of one of my kids favourite treats this time in dark chocolate and available at Asda stores only. I liked these better than the original and both girls liked the dark chocolate flavour too.

Bahlsen Choco Leibniz White Chocolate £1.50 These are a real treat and It’s great to try a new flavour, white chocolate is my teen’s favourite chocolate so she loved them and although these are a little sweeter they are a lovely treat.

Walkers Biscuits £2.00 I often buy the celebration tins at Christmas from Walkers so it was great to sample some different flavours in the box, as I though they are all tasty and perfect for dunking – sorry kids I know you hate it when I do!

Ryvita Wholegrain Rye £2.88 I have always liked Ryvita ever since I remember my mum used to buy it and serve up some tasty snacks for us, cheese and tomato topping becoming my favourite! The new wholegrain rye comes in two flavours, Cracked Black Pepper and Sesame Crispbread, tasty and a great alternative lunch or snack.

Barilla Penne & Arrabbita £1.50 & £2.00 I think we must have pasta at least once a week, it’s such a quick, tasty, easy family meal and a meal that is never complained about! The duo from Barilla in this month’s box was tasty and a little spicy (but not too much so for the kids) and the sauce has no preservatives, we made the dish with sliced chicken and topped it with fresh parsley and cheese which went really well.

Life Tonics £1.49 I have said it before but I really like hydrating with coconut water and this new drink from Life Tonics has coconut water with natural fruit extracts, vitamins and minerals. It comes in three flavours and has no artificial sugars and sweeteners, it was different as I’m used to just the coconut flavour but very different and refreshing.

Williamson Tea Ginger Grove £4.00 I’m drinking some as I write this as it’s no secret I love a cup of tea, and my usual tea is always a green tea, but this is a fantastic addition to my tea caddy and I love the taste. Not too gingery tasting and all in the pyramid shaped bags they are a pleasure to drink and I am definitely going to buy some more.

Delicious Alchemy Oaty Cookie Mix £1.99 A new addition to the Debustabox team is to include a smaller lesser known brand into each months box, a great way to discover a brand that could be missed in the bigger supermarkets. This month is the turn of the Delicious Alchemy Oaty Cookie mix which is gluten free, a quick and easy product for you to whip up a batch of cookies in no time. Really tasty and easy to make it’s an ideal product to have on standby even if you aren’t catering for gluten intolerances.

In the photo you will see three products which I haven’t mentioned they are from the lovely team at Degustabox to bloggers who have been reviewing as a thank you, how nice! We loved the Fru Snax peach slices with vanilla yogurt melts only 47 calories and if you have the chance to try them they are so delicious!  Also two drinks from one from Little Miracles and one from Scheckter’s Organic Energy, I’m a fan of both as they are all natural and very tasty.

Another great box this month and what I really like is that there are new brands being introduced which are new to me as they are a little smaller, the September box looks to be another good one and I am looking forward to sharing it with you.
