Did you know that last Christmas 160,000 of us Brit’s received L’Occitane gift sets on the big day?! It comes as no surprise to me as I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years and it’s my go-to brand to shop at to by that special gift for someone I love. Every time I try one of the fragrance families from L’Occitane I find a new favourite I think this is mainly due to the fact they smell so pure and true to their fragrance notes, rather than some that can smell a little synthetic. The Arlésienne Collection is available from November and I can see it becoming a favourite as the floral but feminine blends are so beautiful and last so well. Last week I wrote about another new collection this time for men, L’Homme Cedrat and each new collection have lovely gift ideas for Christmas. They also have Christmas Bauble gift ideas, one I shared yesterday which are just ideal teacher/work gifts as they are only £10 each.
The attention to detail in the whole experience (the packaging, the bottle itself as well as the fragrance) when buying a product from L’Occitane is that extra bit special, every step has been carefully planned and executed and that really shows. If you are a devotee like me you will know that every product has been designed to ‘do what it says on the tin’ – they are exceptional and that’s why they are on so many Christmas lists!
Arlésienne Eau De Toilette 75ml £49.00
Can I just say a few words about the packaging and look of the Eau De Toilette. It’s a thing of beauty, something to adorn your dressing table with to add sense of nostalgia and beauty to, it really is stunning in an understated elegant way. The pretty pink and violet colours on the packaging echo two of the main flowers – violet and rose – that inspired the final product and the whole collection looks beautiful.
The fragrance family for Arlésienne Eau De Toilette is a musky floral scent with head notes of bergamot essence, saffron extract, galbanum SFE and hawthorn extract, heart notes of may rose absolute and violet leaf absolute and base notes of musk, ambrette, sandalwood and ambrox. The main three flowers that give the sensual musky scent are Rose, Violet and Saffron and the first note that comes through when you spritz the fragrance is the citrusy bergamot mixed then with the feminine, floral and sensual head, heart and base notes of this beautiful fragrance.
A real treat for someone you love or for yourself this Christmas and I for one am hooked on this gorgeous fragrance and the beauty is that you can layer the fragrance with the complementing products from the Arlésienne collection. Not only do they have the Eau De Toilette, shower gel, moisturiser, hand cream, lip gloss and soap but also an online exclusive for the hair – delicate hair mist – which leaves dry or damp hair delicately scented, so ideal for Christmas parties!
