Aldi Walking Range – My Family Ties

Walking Range by Aldi

When it’s gone it’s gone

We are big fan’s of Aldi supermarket’s in our family, and have a store close by to where we live, which we are often looking in to see what the new ranges are for the season.   Just recently we bought some great cycle lights for Lara our youngest, which were ideal to keep her safe with the darker nights upon us.

Mr MFT is a keen cyclist and is doing a triathlon next year so is always looking for warm cycling gear to train in and in this weather it needs to be warm! Just recently he spotted some great layers of cycling clothes in Aldi that have been very useful on the chilly mornings when he is out on his bike training.

Anyone who does cycling seriously understands there is a huge amount of brand snobbery in the sport and whilst Mr MFT does have a lot of branded gear, much of his day to day training equipment is actually from Aldi.  Both him and his cycling friends, quite often compare the quality of the Aldi equipment and it is both equal to and sometimes better than the more expensive equipment that he owns.

It’s no wonder that Aldi has won Retailer Of The Year in 2014 (Retail Week Awards) and their philosophy is to bring great quality brand like products, at low prices to shoppers.  Customers return for the quality and the value for money in their products.

Autumn/Winter weather, a Walking Range for both men and women at very affordable prices.

If you are looking for some outdoor socks to keep you warm and ward off any troublesome blisters, these socks from Aldi are an ideal choice for comfort and function.  The Outdoor Sock range features moisture management as well as an inner lining to help prevent blisters while out walking. At a very affordable £2.99 a pair these socks are a great pairing with the Adults All Terrain Shoes.

I have to say these socks are so warm and cosy and having tested them out on a long walk this week, have passed the dreaded blister test.  I usually end up with blisters but these stood the test, so I would recommend these if you are planning a long walk/hike in the upcoming half term holidays.
These Adults All Terrain Shoes are ideal for all your outdoor activities, at a very affordable price of £15.99, tough and hardwearing they will be ideal for any countryside walks you have planned this Autumn.

The women’s long sleeved Thermal Zip Neck Base Layer is perfect layer up on those blustery days out walking. Priced at £7.99 and ideal to layer up with the Honeycomb Fleece Top, a warm, comfortable and breathable long sleeved top priced at £9.99.  What I like about this top is that it comes with a large pocket at the front and has three large buttons to fasten the top with right up to your neck, keeping the chill out on those windy days.

The Men’s Thermal Zip Neck Base Layer is priced at £7.99 and  like the women’s is an ideal base to layer up on those cold days, while you are out walking.

An essential item in these cold months coming up is a warm waterproof jacket, and Aldi’s Walking Range has the solution with the Men’s and Women’s range of 3 in 1 Jacket.  Coming in a range of colours the coats are waterproof, hooded and have a padded inner layer within the jacket.

The Women’s 3 In One Jacket is £29.99, a great price for a jacket which is waterproof, hooded, comes in a variety of colours and has a padded inner layer for extra warmth.  You can wear together or remove the outer waterproof layer and wear the soft inner layer by itself.

I think this is great value for money, and the added benefit of having a removable padded outer layer.  Also three handy zipped pockets in the front, adjustable cuff straps to keep out the cold, and a waterproof yet breathable hood.

Also included in Aldi’s Walking Range is the Micro Fleece Hat and the Micro Fleece Gloves for men and women.  They are so essential and functional to keep out the cold and great to have on your trips out.

I find Aldi very good value for money and worth visiting regularly to find these great offers such as the new Walking Range, if you haven’t visited before why not give it a try and save money this season.

*Aldi kindly sent products from the new Walking Range to review, but all opinions and thoughts on this post are my own.
