AeraMax Air Purifier Review – My Family Ties

AeraMax Air Purifier DX55 Review

AeraMax DX55 Air Purifier

If you are a hay-fever sufferer then perhaps you should try the AeraMax this year to ease your suffering. I suffered last summer for the first time so I think the AeraMax air purifier could come to my rescue this year! Fellowes have three different air purifier’s to choose from based on the size of your rooms, and we reviewed the DX55 which promises to help to actively reduce particles in the air from viruses, germs and bacteria, pet dander, allergens, floating dust, cigarette smoke, chemical odours, even mould spores.
“AeraSafe Antimicrobial Treatment – built-in protection from the growth of odour causing bacteria, mildew and fungi on True HEPA filter”

My OH is a paramedic so around very ill patients constantly, quite often he will pick up bugs and colds from work so the air purifier gave me peace of mind to help to eliminate these harmful particles from the atmosphere that he may inadvertently bring home. The beauty of this machine is that it is not complicated at all, you can just turn it on and forget about it, and if you need to move it around it has a handle on the top to move it easily.

“Air Purification is made easy with a Fellowes® Air Purifiers that can safely remove 99.97% of airborne pollutants, as small as 0.3 microns using a 4 stage Purification System

The machine itself is compact and not bulky at all, so it will fit nicely into any room without looking obtrusive, and all you need to do is to plug it in and program the settings, which are very easy to follow. It is not a noisy machine and it can silently work without disturbing anyone in the household, this is an important feature as there is nothing worse than a really noisy appliance to put you off no matter what it’s benefits.

“Maximum Protection For The Air You Breathe with Fellowes Aeramax Air Purifiers with True HEPA Filter”
The technology behind the AeraMax air purifier is focused on ensuring that the air in your house is purified to a very high standard to protect your family from any potential harmful pollutants and allergens. It contains a carbon and Hepa filter to capture and reduce those pollutants and allergens and using the AeraMax will reduce any odours which are in the house significantly, we noticed a huge difference in our house and I can see that just this aspect would appeal to many families, especially if you have pets as this would tackle not only the odour but the pet dander as well.
AeraMax Air Purifier DX55 Review

The Four-Stage Purification System

The Fellowes DX Range four-stage cleaning system allows air to return freshened and purified.

1. Carbon filter- Removes odours and captures large airborne particles
2. True HEPA filter – Captures 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns
3. The AeraSafe Antimicrobial treatment provides built in protection from the growth of odour causing bacteria, mildew and fungi on the True HEPA filter
4. PlasmaTRUE Technology – Creates an ionised field to help safely remove airborne pollutants
Having used the AeraMax and given it a thorough test, I can say that it does make a difference to the air quality and will automatically adjust to decrease the pollutants and allergens in the room which is great. The fact that it neutralises odours as well and filters any dust and chemical particles is really fantastic, and if you or a family member suffer from allergies this would benefit tremendously to ease those symptoms.
If you are thinking of trying out the AeraMax air purifier or curious to  find out more about their different models then why not head over to the Fellowes website for more information and details on where to purchase. At the time of writing this review the AeraMax DX55 was priced at £209.99 from Amazon.

I understand the need for making sure air is the best possible. We have humidifiers for the boys rooms as they get chest issues.

I've always wondered about these kind of products. My OH suffers quite bad from allergies and I think something like this would really help.

Interesting….I'd never really considered an air purifier before, but my son suffers from viral induced wheeze, so perhaps it's something I should look into.

This sounds like a very interesting product, I occasionally get hay fever and it's a right pain!! xxx

This sounds ideal for us. I get hayfever every few years and my husband is severely allergic to our cat (and there is no way I'm getting rid of the cat to ease his asthma)

I've actually been looking into buying one of these. My eldest has asthma and it sounds like it would help him loads. It looks like a great one too!
